| Global Sustainability | Global Sustainability at RMIT University (GS@RMIT) is dedicated to the intellectual and material development of the key emerging and multi-disciplinary field of knowledge around sustainability, inside and outside the University. Global Sustainability's overarching vision is to foster increased awareness and practical application of sustainability within RMIT University, business and government. Global Sustainability’s external commercial programs involve provision of strategic research and evaluation, advice and information around sustainability issues relevant to particular organisations, industries and sectors. Our work with companies, industry associations and government agencies is diverse, including detailed assessments of sustainability performance, benchmarking, assistance with sustainability and corporate responsibility strategy development, training and reporting. Internally within RMIT University, Global Sustainability works
across portfolios and schools, assisting academics to incorporate
sustainability principles and practices into the university’s higher
and technical education teaching programs and facilitating research and
consultancy opportunities around sustainability issues. We also work
with facilities staff in relation to campus-based operational
initiatives and reporting. |
