Collaboration with Research Institute for the Built and Human Environment (BuHu), Salford University, Great Britain

Professors Berry, Dalton and Wood spent two days at Salford University in February 2007 where they followed up earlier meetings with Professor Michael Harloe, the Vice-Chancellor of Salford University. He has signed a memorandum of agreement and agreed to support a joint venture with a financial contribution of £10,000. We propose to hold an off campus working group forum in Australia later this year, where the principal output will be a research grant application in the area of urban sustainability and housing policy. The forum will scope at least two areas for research collaborations; (i) Urban Governance and sustainability (ii) Housing market processes and their impacts upon social cohesion and urban economic development.
